Description

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the helicopter drone portfolio in collaboration with engineering leadership.
  • Prioritize product capabilities and features based on customer needs, strategic objectives, and market opportunities.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination between Growth, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other functional teams.
  • Lead Integrated Product Teams and coordinate IPT activities across functional areas.
  • Manage IRAD budget allocation, tracking, and related financial planning for the product line.
  • Drive product maturity, lifecycle planning, and transitions from development to production readiness.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate product-level risks while removing blockers and driving accountability.
  • Review proposals, ideation concepts, and contract opportunities to inform product decisions.
  • Communicate consolidated product updates, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Consolidate schedules and facilitate trade-off decisions across multiple concurrent efforts.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, program management, or a related role in aerospace/defense.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary hardware products through the full lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of engineering development processes and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with DoD contracts and government customer interfaces.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions across cross-functional organizations without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial planning for product lines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with unmanned aerial systems or autonomous platforms preferred.
  • Background in manufacturing process development or production scale-up preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheet preferred.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth technology companies preferred.
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing, composites, or advanced materials preferred.
