Description

  • Empathize with end-users and drive software solutions that balance user needs with external constraints in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers, optimizing for delivery of value to the end-user.
  • Design and implement scalable software and architectures that extend platform capabilities and support future evolution.
  • Contribute to design and development of reusable software services across multiple Anduril product lines.
  • Develop software that runs both on robotic platforms (embedded) and off-board systems (backend/command-and-control).
  • Design, implement, and execute development processes for vehicle and mission software, including full lifecycle testing, monitoring, and operation.
  • Create test and simulation fixtures that operate with software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment activities.
  • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team and mentor junior software engineers.
  • Travel to co-locate with end-users and/or other teams up to 20% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive professional experience working as a Software Engineer across one or more domains/technologies.
  • Systems and/or application programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
  • Ability to work holistically across the software stack and through the full product lifecycle (design, implementation, operation, sustainment).
  • Ability to act as technical owner for a software service, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, and sustainment.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior team members and build team cohesion and capacity.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: prior senior-role experience delivering a military mission system.
  • Preferred: experience writing backend or embedded software in C++ and/or Rust; design and operation of horizontally scaled cloud technologies; embedded robotics software; modeling and simulation; high-assurance safety-critical software; familiarity with Systems Engineering; experience across product delivery lifecycle (manufacturing, acceptance, deployment, sustainment); interest in growing into Staff/Manager/Tech-Lead-Manager roles.
