Description

Develop and maintain core Unreal Engine capabilities, including terrain rendering pipelines and vehicle physics models.
Work with platform teams to ensure seamless integration with Anduril’s core services.
Integrate third-party plugins and capabilities, including debugging or working around bugs when needed.
Collaborate with teams across the company to support synthetic imagery integration and incorporate feedback to improve the product.
Iterate on sensor fidelity and environmental realism based on autonomy team feedback to narrow the sim-to-real gap.

Requirements

4+ years of professional C++ programming experience.
Willingness to travel 10% for collaboration across offices.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Design, or Robotics.
Proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization.
Proficiency with Unreal Engine or demonstrated experience in robotics/autonomy systems such as sensor simulation, perception pipelines, or SITL/HITL testing.
Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
Experience with performance analysis and debugging tools such as gdb, bpftrace, and perf.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred: MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Preferred: Rust programming experience.
Preferred: Experience in a Linux development environment.
Preferred: GPU and graphics programming experience, including HLSL, Vulkan, or CUDA.
Preferred: Familiarity with training machine learning models, especially for computer vision use cases.
Preferred: Understanding of sensor physics for cameras, LiDAR, radar, and EO/IR in simulation.
Preferred: Experience with 3D modeling tools.

Benefits

US salary range of $166,000 to $220,000.
