Description

Lead test and evaluation programs for individual development projects from start to finish.
Plan, coordinate, and execute test events for mission autonomy capabilities using surrogate vehicles.
Design and implement test plans that challenge and verify autonomous system performance across simulated mission profiles.
Analyze test data to validate system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, product managers, and program teams to define test requirements and align on system capabilities and mission objectives.
Drive end-to-end test management, including shaping program requirements, leading execution efforts, and delivering concise reports.
Coordinate with private and government partners to test and evaluate systems and software.
Communicate test results and technical issues to government leaders and internal company leadership.
Develop the ability to manage multiple test projects simultaneously.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience in autonomous systems testing.
5+ years of in-depth test and evaluation experience, preferably with autonomous systems.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute test plans for complex systems under aggressive timelines.
Proven experience coordinating and executing complex test events.
Experience developing metrics and performance dashboards.
Track record of working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical challenges and solutions to a diverse audience.
Ability to engage and communicate with military and government customers.
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various testing locations as required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret-level security clearance.
Direct experience developing, testing, and deploying mission autonomy systems in a defense or aerospace context (preferred).
Familiarity with FAA, FCC, and other relevant regulations (preferred).
Hands-on experience with simulation environments and tools used for testing autonomous systems (preferred).
Experience with Python, C++, ROS, or similar autonomy and robotics programming tools (preferred).
Prior experience mentoring junior team members (preferred).
Knowledge of current industry and military standards related to unmanned aerial systems and national airspace operations (preferred).

US salary range of $113,000 to $149,000.
