Description

  • Lead and mentor recruitment efforts for software engineering teams and drive consistency across technical hiring.
  • Partner closely with business leaders to shape talent strategy and execute hiring deliverables.
  • Source, track, and manage a high volume of candidates while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Build trust and operating rhythms with cross-functional partners to support company growth.
  • Embed with teams to understand product positioning, market fit, technical roadmap, and team culture.
  • Pitch the mission and opportunity effectively to close exceptional technical talent.
  • Track and analyze pipeline and performance data to identify opportunities and improve recruiting outcomes.
  • Develop recruiting strategies, including referral practices and process improvements, to support long-range growth.
  • Use prospecting, web-scraping, data extraction, automation, and candidate management tools and techniques to improve recruiting processes.
  • Conduct interviews and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Boolean strings, referral campaigns, and SOBO campaigns.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience through proactive communication and engagement throughout the recruiting process.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience recruiting and sourcing technical roles and closing top-tier engineering talent.
  • 8+ years leading recruitment for software engineering teams, including full-stack, backend, frontend, mobile, or infrastructure engineers.
  • 8+ years of client interaction experience with Hiring Managers and Directors, including reviewing profiles and updating pipeline progress.
  • Strong experience hiring software engineers within the Space domain.
  • Experience working in a consultative manner and improving outcomes while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
  • Strong understanding of technical qualifications for software engineering roles, including modern programming languages, frameworks, and software development methodologies.
  • Clear and effective communication skills for assessing candidate motivation, drivers, and fit.
  • Experience managing candidate funnels and tracking progress through the recruitment process.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS systems.
  • Experience with software interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of sourcing avenues.
  • Startup, tech, and relevant domain experience preferred.
  • Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision preferred.
  • Resilient, creative, and able to troubleshoot and adapt quickly preferred.
  • Direct, succinct communicator with strong active listening and engagement preferred.
  • Low ego, high curiosity, and openness to candid feedback preferred.
