Description

  • Contribute to the direction of a small, talented research team with your expertise and ideas.
  • Create mathematically principled solutions to complex information science problems.
  • Prototype state-of-the-art algorithms in an agile development environment.
  • Implement high-performance software across tactical systems and web applications.
  • Use modeling and simulation environments, analysis tools, and compute clusters to measure technology impact.
  • Engage with customers to support successful mission-critical outcomes.
  • Help colleagues and customers understand technical work and its purpose.

Requirements

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied or Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics and Probability, or a related field.
  • Record of academic excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience in applied mathematics, including differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, and continuous or discrete optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering topics such as controls, estimation theory, digital signal processing, and machine learning.
  • Demonstrated experience in scientific computing, including software design, algorithm implementation, testing, analysis, and optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience in probability, statistics, and random processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain advanced technology to both experts and non-experts.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
  • Transcripts requested early in the application process; unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
