Description

  • Contribute to the direction of a small, talented research team with your expertise and ideas.
  • Create mathematically principled solutions to complex information science problems.
  • Prototype state-of-the-art algorithms in an agile development environment.
  • Implement high-performance software across tactical systems and web applications.
  • Use modeling, simulation, analysis tools, and compute clusters to evaluate technology performance.
  • Engage with customers to support successful outcomes for mission-critical needs.
  • Explain your work clearly to colleagues and customers, including technical rationale and impact.

Requirements

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied or Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics and Probability, or a related field.
  • Record of academic excellence with demonstrated experience in most of the following: applied mathematics, engineering, scientific computing, and probability.
  • Experience with differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, and continuous or discrete optimization.
  • Experience with controls, estimation theory, digital signal processing, and machine learning.
  • Experience with software design, algorithm implementation, software analysis, testing, and optimization.
  • Experience with statistics and random processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for both expert and non-expert audiences.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
