Description

  • Establish and maintain the construction cost category structure and WBS across all projects.
  • Develop cost forecasting best practices, build templates, and train Construction PMs on their use.
  • Lead the capital budget approval process for projects ranging from megaprojects to small renovations.
  • Partner with Corporate Finance on monthly, quarterly, and annual capex planning.
  • Own and improve the Historical Cost Database for estimating future costs and benchmarking performance.
  • Design and implement project approval processes for scope, cost, and schedule, including supporting documentation and team training.
  • Build and maintain change order management systems across the project portfolio.
  • Create project charter templates and guidelines that define roles and responsibilities.
  • Establish pre-qualification processes for consultants and suppliers and coordinate with Procurement on sourcing opportunities.
  • Develop financial reporting materials, executive communication templates, KPIs, and CPM schedule SOPs using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet.
  • Oversee external PMO staff and support occasional setup of PMIS for new projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in construction management or project controls.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency with the ability to build organized, intuitive models.
  • Advanced PowerPoint proficiency and the ability to translate complex data into executive-ready slides.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time, including international travel.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access requirements for U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • Experience in corporate construction management or as an Owner’s Representative is preferred.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing-related projects is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
