  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex mission systems spanning Anduril products, Lattice integrations, third-party systems, tactical networks, sensors, effectors, compute, and communications.
  • Translate ambiguous customer needs into technical plans, product requirements, integration roadmaps, test plans, fielding plans, and sustainment concepts.
  • Drive new capabilities from concept through prototype, integration, test, operational demonstration, proposal support, and program transition.
  • Make pragmatic engineering decisions with incomplete information while identifying risks, assumptions, tradeoffs, and decision points.
  • Own systems integration across internal and external systems, including vendor platforms and government-provided interfaces.
  • Coordinate technical execution across hardware, software, firmware, networking, autonomy, cyber, manufacturing, logistics, test, deployment, and field operations teams.
  • Lead ATO/RMF strategy, creation, maintenance, and continuous authorization efforts across relevant stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain technical artifacts such as architectures, requirements, interface control documents, test plans, CONOPS, deployment guides, sustainment plans, risk registers, and technical briefings.
  • Support proposals, task orders, BOEs, RFP responses, white papers, and growth efforts by defining technical scope, schedule, staffing, assumptions, risks, and delivery plans.
  • Drive theater-based deployment and sustainment, including shipment readiness, site integration, spares planning, field support, troubleshooting, training, and operational handoff.
  • Own technical recovery efforts by diagnosing failures, coordinating cross-functional tiger teams, establishing corrective actions, and driving issues to closure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, systems engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, mission systems integration, defense technology, aerospace, autonomy, C2, tactical networks, cyber-physical systems, or deployed operational systems.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a technical lead, chief engineer, systems lead, or equivalent owner for complex hardware/software programs.
  • Experience integrating complex systems of systems involving software, hardware, networking, sensors, communications, compute, autonomy, fielded equipment, and third-party systems.
  • Experience turning ambiguous customer or mission needs into executable technical plans, architectures, requirements, schedules, test plans, and delivery milestones.
  • Experience supporting deployed or operational systems, including troubleshooting, configuration management, field support, sustainment, and customer-facing technical execution.
  • Experience with DoD programs, government customers, operational users, or defense acquisition environments.
  • Experience supporting proposals, RFP responses, task orders, BOEs, technical volumes, white papers, or customer growth efforts.
  • Familiarity with ATO, RMF, cybersecurity authorization, system security planning, vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, or cyber compliance processes.
  • Strong systems engineering fundamentals, including requirements definition, architecture, interface management, verification and validation, test planning, configuration control, and risk management.
  • Ability to make timely technical decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with incomplete information.
  • Strong communication skills for briefing senior leaders, customers, operators, engineers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance speed, mission urgency, technical risk, customer commitments, and long-term scalability.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, integration events, test events, and field/deployment locations as required.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Program Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, Technical Director, Mission Systems Lead, Product Lead, or Engineering Program Lead preferred.
  • Experience with C2 systems, Lattice or similar command-and-control platforms, tactical networks, sensor fusion, EO/IR systems, radar, effectors, counter-UAS, autonomous systems, or deployed mission systems preferred.
  • Experience integrating third-party or partner systems into a larger mission architecture, including vendor management, ICDs, API/interface definition, system test, and operational handoff preferred.
  • Experience creating, obtaining, maintaining, or recovering ATOs for DoD systems, including RMF package development, eMASS workflows, POA&M management, STIGs, vulnerability remediation, and continuous authorization preferred.
  • Experience with fielded OCONUS/theater-based operations, including deployment logistics, operational sustainment, spares, training, site acceptance, and field troubleshooting preferred.
  • Experience building R&D products or prototypes and transitioning them into operational programs or customer-funded task orders preferred.
  • Experience leading urgent technical recovery efforts, tiger teams, integration sprints, or operational response efforts under customer and mission pressure preferred.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub/GitLab, configuration management tools, digital engineering workflows, MBSE, SysML, Cameo, DoDAF, or similar systems engineering artifacts preferred.
  • Experience with government test events, operational demonstrations, range events, safety reviews, cyber reviews, readiness reviews, or formal verification events preferred.
  • Experience working across engineering, program management, business development, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, cyber, field operations, and customer success preferred.
  • Ability to create structure where none exists and scale one-off efforts into repeatable operating mechanisms preferred.

Benefits

  • US base salary range of $191,000 to $253,000.
  • Highly competitive equity grants included in the majority of full-time offers.
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees.
