Description

  • Engage with product development teams to meet quality expectations for AIS products.
  • Drive product development quality activities, including process development, verification, validation, and qualification of parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Resolve ambiguities related to product maturity, process stability, and field performance that affect quality and reliability goals.
  • Lead the transition from new product introduction into a predictable, high-rate manufacturing process and supply chain.
  • Own efforts to identify and eliminate product risk across the full product lifecycle, from concept through field use.
  • Ensure product and process requirements are executed, defined, and continuously improved.
  • Partner cross-functionally to define and execute the product roadmap.
  • Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) and material review board (MRB) activities, including sharing lessons learned.
  • Lead product health data analysis, define quality metrics, and drive improvement activities.
  • Support the Quality Management System through documentation improvement, investigations, and other team or organization initiatives.
  • Partner with production to ensure incoming material inspection, process control plans, and end-of-line testing capture key quality requirements.
  • Travel between Anduril HQ in California and Ohio as needed for program support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.
  • Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in aerospace/defense or similar hardware.
  • Working knowledge of design reviews and quality management for precision mechanical parts and sub-assemblies, PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites, propulsion systems, and lethality systems.
  • Experience driving product quality and performance requirements into test and measurement system development and optimization.
  • Experience transitioning from engineering qualification to manufacturing variance testing for product quality coverage.
  • Working knowledge of product development methods such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and GD&T.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to apply industry standards and best practices to meet government customer quality expectations.
  • Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated ability to drive projects from start to finish.
  • Analytical experience with data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools such as MatLab, JMP, or Minitab.
  • Active U.S. Secret security clearance, with the ability to maintain it.
  • Master’s degree in a technical field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience developing quality systems for high-volume, highly complex manufacturing environments and suppliers preferred.
  • Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality for communications systems used by Intelligence Community customers preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management system requirements preferred.
  • Experience with IPC standards preferred.
  • Experience with government contracts and military standard requirements preferred.
  • Experience with Teamcenter, SolidWorks, Jira, Tableau, and Altium or similar PCBA and harness design software preferred.
