Description

  • Lead technician staff in the production and delivery of UAS through factory acceptance.
  • Perform hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repair during manufacturing operations.
  • Use hand tools, assembly tooling, and general manufacturing equipment effectively.
  • Follow documented build instructions and technical work direction accurately.
  • Ensure operators follow safety procedures and standard work tasks.
  • Audit the work area to improve safety and efficiency.
  • Prioritize operator work to meet on-time delivery goals and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities and provide process improvement feedback.
  • Complete daily transactions in production systems including MES, NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Support weekly production reporting on progress, blockers, risks, and needs.
  • Escalate floor issues appropriately and follow them through to resolution.
  • Train and support new operators and maintain required certifications.
  • Build a collaborative team culture that supports product knowledge, skill development, and cross-training.
  • Maintain regular attendance, a predictable schedule, and detailed daily records and reporting.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in production-oriented manufacturing or electro-mechanical technician fields.
  • Experience leading a team, either directly or indirectly, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with ERP and MES systems such as NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Strong understanding of the product life cycle from NPI to scaled production, LEAN manufacturing principles, and ECO change management.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation such as mechanical drawings, work instructions, building plans, equipment specs, and electrical schematics.
  • Extremely reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled data and facilities.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, business, or applied science (preferred).
  • 2+ years in a lead or production operations role (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with kit, model, or experimental builds (preferred).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 standards and OSHA laws (preferred).
  • A&P certification (preferred).
  • Experience in the UAS industry (preferred).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (preferred).
