Description

  • Build secure, scalable infrastructure for institutional digital asset services.
  • Design and implement virtual accounting layers, API integrations, and multi-tenant platform architectures.
  • Lead complex cross-functional projects across custody, trading, compliance, and client integration.
  • Own platform features end to end, from architecture and implementation through production support and on-call.
  • Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design specifications, and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with product, compliance, legal, and security teams to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Break down large initiatives into well-scoped deliverables and estimate multi-person, multi-quarter work.
  • Influence architecture decisions and help shape the product roadmap.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and team knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain a strong testing culture focused on security, reliability, and minimizing technical debt.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience building backend services and distributed systems.
  • Experience designing and delivering customer-facing APIs and multi-tenant platform architectures.
  • Experience with cloud-native microservices; GCP experience is preferred but other cloud providers are acceptable.
  • Experience building automated tests alongside features and maintaining production systems over time.
  • Experience with on-call support and incident response for production systems.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and systems design; a formal CS degree is not required.
  • Demonstrated interest in code quality, infrastructure reliability, and security.
  • Ability to prioritize end-user experience and business value over technology novelty.
  • Professional experience with C++, Go, or Rust is a plus.
  • Professional experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration is a plus.
  • Experience building ledger systems, virtual accounting layers, or custody infrastructure is a plus.
  • Background in financial services, fintech, or banking-as-a-service platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with system security, including authentication, authorization, identity management, and API keys, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for financial institutions, such as SOC 2 or bank examinations, is a plus.
  • Background in the cryptocurrency or digital assets industry is a plus.
