Description

  • Own the technical layer of the European sales process, including discovery, scoping, trial design, and closing alongside Account Executives.
  • Run technical trials end to end by configuring data delivery and validating forecast outputs against local market benchmarks.
  • Work directly with technical buyers on API integration, forecast methodology, and data quality questions.
  • Translate Amperon’s value proposition into commercial terms for trading VPs, heads of risk, and other executive stakeholders.
  • Build reusable sales and customer success assets such as RFP responses, integration guides, trial templates, and market-specific overviews.
  • Bring European market expertise into prospect conversations and act as a peer-level advisor to customers.
  • Own the post-sale relationship for European accounts, including onboarding, adoption, health, renewals, and growth.
  • Develop deep understanding of each customer’s workflows, P&L exposure, success criteria, and product fit.
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable product requests for product and data science teams.
  • Drive net dollar retention and identify expansion opportunities across your account base.
  • Build the customer success motion and playbooks needed to scale the function beyond the first hire.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in European power markets as a trader, trading analyst, market analyst, or in a technical role with commercial exposure.
  • Deep fluency in European electricity markets, including TSO balancing, intraday and day-ahead auction mechanics, cross-border flows, capacity markets, and imbalance settlement.
  • Experience using market knowledge to inform real decisions, not just describe market concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs and data, including pulling, interrogating, and presenting data independently.
  • Ability to recognize strong and weak integration documentation.
  • Commercial instincts shaped by market experience and an understanding of how customers think about risk, value, and cost.
  • Ability to speak credibly with heads of trading and also explain concepts clearly to operations teams or CFOs.
  • Strong autonomy and organization to manage multiple trials and accounts without details falling through the cracks.
  • Experience with ENTSO-E data, EPEX/Nord Pool, or TSO-specific demand and settlement datasets is preferred.
  • Background building internal tooling or automation with Python, SQL, or scripting is preferred.
  • Prior client-facing or commercial experience is preferred, including relationship-building and expectation management under pressure.
  • Fluency in German, French, Spanish, Italian, or a Nordic language is preferred.
