Description

  • Develop and implement new business plans and identify growth opportunities for the HI Program in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Lead the execution and management of the HI Program’s projects, people, and business pursuits.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in health economics, healthcare delivery and payment reform, Medicare/Medicaid policy, data analytics, and healthcare quality measurement.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the design, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare delivery and payment models using quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches.
  • Contribute to operational planning and annual budgeting for the Program Office and implement plans and budgets for the HI Program.
  • Lead staffing, workforce planning, and professional development efforts to attract, retain, and manage a high-performing team.
  • Represent AIR with clients, partners, staff, and stakeholders and build relationships with teaming partners, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Maintain trusted relationships with client organizations, including CMS contracting officers, project officers, and program staff.
  • Work with Program Office leadership to strengthen a culture aligned with AIR’s mission and values.
  • Enhance AIR’s external reputation in collaboration with the Communications and Public Affairs Office.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Health Economics, Health Services Research, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years of overall experience designing, implementing, and evaluating healthcare delivery and payment programs and policies.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Subject matter expertise in health economics and healthcare delivery and payment model evaluation, including experience with CMMI models.
  • Proven track record of leading proposals, winning contract work, and managing teams.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of health economists, data scientists, quantitative researchers, and qualitative researchers on large-scale federal health projects.
  • Experience designing and successfully leading multiple complex healthcare payment and delivery model projects.
  • Business development experience in federal and/or state government contracting and/or with foundations.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and process management skills.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis, and employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.
  • May need to meet certain residency requirements depending on project work.
  • Established reputation as a thought leader through publications, presentations, advisory roles, or similar contributions to healthcare policy and research.

  • Anticipated annual salary range of $250,000 to $280,000 USD.
