Description

  • Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports that provide stakeholders with timely visibility into performance.
  • Write and optimize SQL and Python to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define questions, metrics, and analytics requirements that inform decisions.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy through validation, de-duplication, and reconciliation of reporting outputs.
  • Document analyses and reporting logic for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design reliable reporting pipelines that support business intelligence work.
  • Help shape how the business measures and acts on its data.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a data science, analytics, or business intelligence role.
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries and working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, manipulation, and automation.
  • Proven experience building dashboards and reports in tools like QuickSight, Metabase, or Power BI.
  • Strong attention to data quality and accuracy, with the ability to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Dedicated business intelligence experience, including ownership of reporting or analytics in a previous role, preferred.
  • Experience with data engineering or building and maintaining data pipelines, preferred.
  • API integration and automation experience, preferred.
  • Exposure to statistical modelling, forecasting, or machine learning techniques, preferred.
  • Experience working in a remote, distributed team across multiple time zones, preferred.
  • Ability to work full-time and across African time zones, preferably SAST, CAT, or EAT (GMT +2 to GMT +3).
