Description

  • Review Unity SDK release notes monthly to identify breaking changes and assess their impact on the existing API contract.
  • Perform reactive compatibility patching on the Unity client when SDK updates or backend integration points introduce issues.
  • Participate in incident diagnostics for problems such as frozen screens, stale content, and missing configuration updates.
  • Analyze root causes of runtime and integration failures and propose and implement fixes.
  • Collaborate with the backend team and external stakeholders to document known issues and workarounds in runbooks.
  • Support debugging and targeted patching of existing Unity projects rather than full application development.
  • Work with Unity standalone builds and help resolve issues affecting Windows and/or Linux targets.
  • Use logs, breakpoints, and diagnostic tools to reproduce and isolate local runtime issues.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Unity SDK, including release cycles, versioning strategies, Unity Package Manager, and dependency management.
  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and modify C# code in existing Unity projects.
  • Solid understanding of how a Unity standalone application consumes REST APIs, including HTTP client usage, JSON serialization/deserialization, error handling, and retry strategies.
  • Experience configuring and building Unity standalone targets for Windows and/or Linux.
  • Ability to reproduce and diagnose runtime issues locally in Unity using logs, breakpoints, and diagnostic tools.
  • Practical knowledge of Unity plugins and Package Manager, including safely updating dependencies and resolving conflicts and version mismatches.
  • English level B2+ with the ability to read technical documentation and runbooks and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience using Unity in digital signage, kiosk systems, or interactive displays is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Django REST API from the client perspective is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GCP Cloud Run at a conceptual level is a plus.
  • Experience working with jump PCs or RDP for remote diagnostics is a plus.
  • Part-time availability up to 10 hours per month.
  • Availability for a 6–12 month engagement starting in August.
  • Ability to work within the Mon–Fri, 15:00–00:00 Warsaw time window and handle tasks within 4 hours to 1 business day.
  • Location in Poland or westward.
