Description

  • Talk with customers by phone or video about their home, layout, project goals, and comfort needs.
  • Use proprietary design software and internal tools to build heating and cooling system recommendations.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to uncover customer priorities and decision criteria.
  • Help customers compare system options and understand the trade-offs between comfort, cost, efficiency, aesthetics, installation complexity, and long-term value.
  • Recommend the system approach that best fits the customer’s needs and priorities.
  • Prepare clear design summaries so orders can be finalized accurately.
  • Guide customers through uncertainty and help them feel informed and confident in their decision.
  • Work directly with homeowners and contractors to design systems for their projects.

Requirements

  • HVAC experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to learn products, tools, and design processes quickly.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical ideas in simple, everyday language.
  • Ability to ask good questions and guide conversations without sounding scripted.
  • Comfortable discussing options and trade-offs without overcomplicating them.
  • Judgment to recommend a direction rather than only listing possibilities.
  • Ability to listen carefully, build trust, and stay calm with confused or overwhelmed customers.
  • Comfort using technology, software, and AI tools to learn faster and work better.
  • Self-starter mindset with ownership and initiative.
  • Interest in learning technical subjects or building new skills independently.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $75,000-$95,000, depending on experience and fit.
  • Performance bonus based on customer outcomes, design quality, and team success.
