Description

  • Lead scheduled consultative conversations with customers by phone or video.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to understand how a space is used, along with customer priorities and constraints.
  • Design 2–3 intentional system approaches for each customer instead of presenting a single answer.
  • Explain trade-offs among comfort, efficiency, cost, aesthetics, reliability, and installation complexity.
  • Recommend the best-fit solution based on customer values rather than price alone.
  • Produce clear, structured design summaries for the Sales team to finalize orders.
  • Act as a calm, trusted guide throughout a complex, high-stakes decision process.
  • Use modern tools, including AI, to learn faster and think more clearly.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and installation realities early in the design process.

Requirements

  • Experience in consulting, systems design, technical advising, architecture, engineering, building science, or another analytical field is a plus.
  • HVAC experience is helpful but not required.
  • Strong reasoning ability, communication skills, and a learning mindset are more important than industry background.
  • Ability to think in systems and trade-offs rather than searching for a single right answer.
  • Comfort reasoning through ambiguity and designing multiple options.
  • Ability to build trust through listening, thoughtful questions, and clear explanations.
  • Interest in using AI or modern tools to explore ideas, learn quickly, and improve thinking.
  • Ability to turn messy, real-world information into clear, understandable choices.
  • Work-from-home remote setup required.
  • All computer equipment will be provided.
