Description

  • Engage directly with senior leaders as a trusted business partner and help define the people agenda behind the business strategy.
  • Analyze people data to identify trends, strengths, and gaps across recruitment, HR, and learning.
  • Define, iterate, and drive the division’s people strategy across the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure people recommendations are commercially relevant and executable.
  • Oversee annual BAU processes including talent acquisition planning, compensation planning, job evaluation, and goal setting.
  • Lead or oversee strategic workforce and talent planning aligned to business plans and future capacity needs.
  • Partner with divisional leadership on reward, retention, and performance strategies that support growth and profitability.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives using survey data and employee feedback to recommend action plans.
  • Support senior leaders with leadership development, succession planning, and senior leadership transitions.
  • Design and execute people communications related to organizational change, compensation, and new policies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of HR or recruitment experience, including 3–5 years in a strategic cross-people business partnering or relationship management role.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders on people strategy and organizational design.
  • Strong experience in talent attraction and management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Demonstrated capability in post-acquisition integration, change management, and cultural alignment.
  • A university degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant discipline.
  • CIPD 7, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent academic or professional accreditation.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience within a consulting firm, ideally in Financial Services or Insurance Consulting, is preferred.
  • Exposure to global or matrixed organizations with complex stakeholder environments is preferred.
  • The role requires a remote/home base with regular travel to Alpha offices, including approximately 2–3 days per week in the New York office on average.
