Description

  • Engage senior leaders as a trusted business partner and help define the business unit’s people agenda.
  • Analyze people data to identify trends, strengths, and gaps across recruitment, HR, and learning.
  • Define, iterate, and drive the people strategy across the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure people recommendations are commercially relevant and executable.
  • Oversee annual BAU processes including talent acquisition planning, budgeting, job evaluation, compensation planning, and goal setting.
  • Lead strategic workforce and talent planning, including headcount growth and critical role coverage.
  • Shape recruitment priorities based on commercial demand, utilization patterns, and emerging practice areas.
  • Partner on performance, reward, and retention strategies, including benchmarking and retention interventions.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and use survey and feedback data to recommend action plans.
  • Support leadership development, succession planning, senior leader transitions, and capability development through training and career frameworks.
  • Collaborate with leadership on people-related changes driven by AI and other emerging technologies.
  • Advise on organizational design, team structures, operating models, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Mobilize and optimize internal people delivery teams, including Recruitment and HR, and monitor service quality.
  • Prepare people reports and updates for senior leadership and boards.
  • Design and execute people communications related to organizational change, compensation, and policies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a consulting role, ideally management consulting or people consulting.
  • 3–5 years of exposure to strategic people-related initiatives.
  • Strong passion for people topics in consulting firms, including people trends, capacity planning, and people metrics.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders on people strategy and organizational design.
  • Strong experience in talent attraction and management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Demonstrated capability in post-acquisition integration, change management, and cultural alignment.
  • A university degree with a 2:1 or above in a relevant discipline.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience within a consulting firm in Financial Services or Asset and Wealth Management is preferred.
  • Exposure to global or matrixed organizations with complex stakeholder environments is preferred.
  • Certification such as CIPD 7, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent academic or professional accreditation is preferred.
  • Ability to work primarily from home with regular travel and an expected 2–3 days per week in the New York office or other Alpha locations.

  • Estimated base salary range of $190,000 to $235,000, subject to salary benchmarking.
