Description

  • Co-lead cloud assessments and discovery workshops, including current-state analysis, target architecture design, gap identification, and roadmap development.
  • Own target architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP, covering landing zones, identity, networking, security, data platforms, and modernization patterns.
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for active programs and support engagement leads on architecture decisions.
  • Pressure-test delivery plans, estimates, and staffing models to identify gaps, over-commitments, and technical risks early.
  • Lead architecture review boards and sign off on critical design decisions for major programs.
  • Scope and shape new opportunities by assessing client needs, sizing work, identifying risks, and defining the solution approach.
  • Participate in pursuit conversations, run whiteboard sessions, and defend architecture decisions with executive stakeholders.
  • Validate estimates and LOEs before client submission and strengthen technical sections of proposals, SOWs, and executive readouts.
  • Develop reference architectures, design patterns, reusable artifacts, proofs-of-concept, and reference implementations to support engagements.
  • Stay current on cloud platform roadmaps, regulatory changes, and emerging architecture patterns relevant to regulated clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and delivery, with meaningful experience in consulting, systems integration, or a hyperscaler professional services organization.
  • Experience serving as the senior technical voice on $5M+ cloud programs.
  • Deep fluency in at least two of Azure, AWS, and GCP, with credible experience in the third.
  • Strong knowledge of modern cloud architecture patterns, including landing zones, hub-spoke and mesh networking, zero trust identity, platform-as-code, container platforms, event-driven architectures, data platforms, and API-first design.
  • Credible experience with security and compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CIS benchmarks.
  • Senior cloud certifications across at least two hyperscalers, current or recently held; preferred certifications include AZ-305, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, and Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Security certifications such as AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or CISSP are a plus.
  • Hands-on ability to build proofs-of-concept, write Terraform modules, or collaborate directly with junior engineers.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate clearly at executive level while maintaining technical precision.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as engagements require.
  • Ability to work a schedule of 8:30am–5:30pm EST Monday through Friday.
  • This role is not eligible for sponsorship of any kind.
