Description

  • Develop a comprehensive testing strategy for the API surface.
  • Improve developer experience by standardizing tooling and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with other teams to improve test coverage, reliability, and speed.
  • Mentor and guide product engineers to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Design and execute load, stress, and scalability tests for the platform.
  • Build and maintain automated and manual testing infrastructure.
  • Gather requirements, implement technical solutions, deploy changes, and monitor results.
  • Dig into application code when needed to support testing and reliability work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Go.
  • Experience writing code in strongly typed languages.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI pipelines, including GitHub Actions and Google Cloud Build.
  • Experience with microservices and building reliable integration and end-to-end tests.
  • Experience designing and building automated test frameworks.
  • Strong Kubernetes knowledge beyond the basics, including writing Helm charts and understanding security best practices.
  • Prior startup experience.
  • Ability to own tasks end to end from requirements through deployment and monitoring.
  • Experience in Python or TypeScript, Dockerfiles, and secure container images (nice to have).
  • Experience with k6, ghz, pprof, or trace analysis (nice to have).
  • Experience with Argo CD, Terraform, Google Cloud Platform, Google Kubernetes Engine, Tilt, or Kubernetes Operators (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with testing event-driven systems using Kafka or Redpanda (nice to have).
