Description

  • Provide day-to-day legal advice to internal stakeholders on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters.
  • Advise on the design and rollout of new products, services, and business offerings, including cross-border activity and passporting arrangements.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate customer-facing contractual agreements, disclosures, account documentation, and website materials.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements with institutional clients and counterparties.
  • Assist with regulatory inquiries from UK and EU authorities, as well as UK, EU, and worldwide exchanges.
  • Liaise and engage with external legal advisers.
  • Work closely with global and European legal and compliance teams in a cross-functional environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer, either solicitor or barrister, with 3-5+ years of experience.
  • Experience at a law firm, financial institution, financial services regulatory agency, exchange, broker-dealer, or technology company.
  • Excellent academic background with a strong foundation in legal analysis and reasoning.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent judgment, analytical rigor, and practical business judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to own projects from concept to execution.
  • Comfort working with cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in fintech, digital assets, and blockchain technology.
  • Must be eligible to work without sponsorship for this role.
