Description

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers while fostering a high-trust, accountable environment.
  • Lead engineering execution for Growth initiatives across acquisition, onboarding, activation, conversion, retention, and monetization.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Analytics, Marketing, and engineering leaders to define strategy and deliver high-impact experiences.
  • Plan and prioritize the roadmap while balancing rapid iteration, technical quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Build an experimentation culture through A/B tests, measurement plans, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Develop systems and product surfaces that support upsells, paywalls, purchase flows, entitlements, and lifecycle experiences.
  • Guide architecture and technical direction while helping engineers make strong decisions across product and platform concerns.
  • Hire and coach engineers, manage performance, and raise the bar on collaboration and engineering craft.
  • Advocate for code quality, operational excellence, and process improvements that improve team efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate effectively in a distributed environment using GitHub, Slack, Zoom, Jira, and Confluence.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including leading teams through complex technical and organizational challenges.
  • 4+ years of engineering management experience building healthy, high-performing teams.
  • Experience developing iOS apps with Swift or managing teams that do so.
  • Experience shipping large-scale product initiatives with multiple cross-functional dependencies.
  • Strong product, analytical, and technical judgment, with experience using experimentation and metrics to guide decisions.
  • Track record of coaching engineers, managing performance, and building a culture of trust, ownership, and high standards.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to align stakeholders and navigate ambiguity.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments where prioritization and adaptability matter.
  • Experience with modern software development workflows and tools, including GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience leading Growth, monetization, subscription, onboarding, or experimentation teams in a consumer product environment (preferred).
  • Experience with analytics and experimentation tools such as Amplitude (preferred).
  • Experience working on subscription products, purchase flows, entitlement systems, or lifecycle engagement (preferred).
  • Strong instincts around user experience and building elegant, high-converting product experiences (preferred).
  • AI Native: naturally incorporate AI tools to enhance work, evaluate outputs thoughtfully, and improve team productivity and decision-making (preferred).
  • Humility, empathy, curiosity, and a willingness to dive in wherever needed.
