Description

  • Lead the creation and documentation of new or revised department procedures to improve operational efficiency and excellence.
  • Recommend departmental objectives and create solutions to address business and operational challenges.
  • Lead working groups and committees to set goals and implement process or procedural improvements.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to optimize data management technology, processes, and standards.
  • Participate in project and department budget development and manage budgets for assigned projects and staff.
  • Evaluate and help select data system vendors such as EDC, IRT, ePRO, and eConsent.
  • Manage work orders, change orders, study forecasting, and budgeting to support financial performance.
  • Identify resource needs, interview, hire, onboard, and train staff for ongoing and future projects.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support team members, including conflict resolution and morale management.
  • Set priorities, track objectives and key results, conduct performance reviews, and evaluate training needs for direct reports.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet expectations for quality, timeliness, and cost.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data collection strategy and study data handling, and liaise with programming to support database standards.
  • Proactively identify project issues, manage risks, and escalate to senior management as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Support special projects, business development meetings, RFIs, RFPs, and project pricing.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a college diploma or degree.
  • 7-9 years of relevant experience.
  • CCDM certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience in people leadership and staff management.
  • Experience with data management services and operational oversight.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or financial management for projects.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with data system vendors or clinical data platforms such as EDC, IRT, ePRO, and eConsent is preferred.
