Description

  • Own and extend the MCP Gateway and connector platform, including integrations, authentication, scopes, tenancy, rate limiting, and read/write policies.
  • Operate the plugin marketplace and publishing pipeline, including versioning, CI/CD, reviews, release hygiene, and developer-tool synchronization.
  • Build and maintain shared plugins, skills, hooks, Spec-Driven Development tooling, and contribution documentation.
  • Own observability, model-gateway configuration, usage rollups, telemetry, cost attribution, and model-routing decisions.
  • Develop benchmarks and evaluation harnesses to compare models, prompts, tools, and versions.
  • Build infrastructure for browsable, searchable, commentable agent outputs, including tagging, engagement instrumentation, expiration, and notifications.
  • Run office hours and technical sessions, mentor engineers, and support agentic-coding and plugin-authorship practices.
  • Triage feature requests and provide on-call support for marketplace artifacts and gateway availability.

Requirements

  • BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Production ownership of a backend service or developer platform, including authentication, releases, and operational health.
  • Strong production experience with Python, TypeScript/Node, Go, or a similar modern application stack and CI/CD.
  • Hands-on experience with machine-to-machine authentication and authorization, including OAuth2, OIDC, token scoping, and secret management.
  • Experience instrumenting systems with metrics, structured logging, tracing, or usage analytics and using the data to guide decisions.
  • Production or near-production experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Cody, Copilot agents, or Aider.
  • Strong written communication skills for documentation, runbooks, and educational materials.
  • Preferred: Experience with MCP servers, Claude Code plugins, skills, hooks, LLM gateways, inference proxies, evaluation harnesses, registries, or plugin marketplaces.
  • Preferred: Healthcare, HIPAA, PHI, BAA, or data-residency experience; familiarity with Python/FastAPI, Vue/TypeScript, Postgres, AWS, Auth0, Datadog, or Sumo Logic.
