Description

  • Build and deploy roughly 100 transactional and lifecycle marketing emails in Maropost, including confirmations, notifications, lifecycle flows, and campaigns.
  • Develop a reusable modular component library and a global header/footer system aligned with the client’s design system.
  • Implement Liquid-based dynamic templates with conditional logic for customer segments, subscription states, affiliate flows, and lead routing.
  • Configure multi-country and multi-language email localization.
  • Audit the existing Mandrill email inventory and migrate or help transition flows into Maropost.
  • Wire Shopify triggers into Maropost flows and validate end-to-end functionality during the platform migration.
  • Coordinate with subscription tooling such as Seal Subscriptions for subscription-related email events.
  • Support QA across business logic, localization, deliverability, and rendering on major clients and devices.
  • Document templates, components, and conditional logic so the marketing team can maintain and extend the system after launch.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on email development experience with production builds inside an ESP.
  • Direct Maropost experience is strongly preferred, with experience on Klaviyo, Iterable, Braze, Customer.io, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar platforms considered if you can ramp quickly.
  • Prior experience executing an ESP migration, ideally from Mandrill to another platform.
  • Strong command of Liquid templating or a comparable ESP templating language.
  • Expert-level HTML/CSS for email, including tables, inline styles, MSO conditional comments, dark mode handling, and responsive techniques that work in Outlook.
  • Experience integrating an ESP with Shopify or a comparable ecommerce platform, including event-triggered transactional flows.
  • Ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-faithful production templates.
  • High attention to detail for conditional logic, edge cases, and localization variants.
  • Familiarity with email QA tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid.
  • Maropost certifications or shippable Maropost portfolio work are a plus.
  • Subscription or autoship email flow experience with tools such as Seal Subscriptions, ReCharge, or Skio is a plus.
  • Experience running multi-language or multi-country email programs at scale is a plus.
  • Understanding of deliverability fundamentals, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, sender reputation, and suppression management.
  • Comfort working on migration timelines tied to a larger replatform launch.

  • Target completion before late-August UAT for a September launch.
  • Full-time preferred, with a minimum commitment of 30+ hours per week.
