Description

  • Contribute to GPU Monitoring features end-to-end within the Datadog Agent, from ideation through implementation.
  • Build and maintain shared eBPF functionality used by multiple product teams.
  • Investigate and debug complex production issues across the kernel, eBPF programs, and the agent runtime.
  • Research, prototype, develop, and document solutions to challenging eBPF and GPU monitoring problems.
  • Provide technical input into product and architecture decisions.
  • Improve the reliability, performance, and evolution of the eBPF platform across Linux distributions and kernel versions.
  • Support teams using eBPF and help enable new teams exploring eBPF.
  • Contribute to open source projects related to the platform, including btfhub and cilium/ebpf.

Requirements

  • Experience working with and developing in the Linux kernel, using eBPF, as a kernel developer, or by building low-level programs in C.
  • Significant experience building high-throughput, low-latency systems.
  • 5+ years of experience building applications and tooling, with deep knowledge of the systems worked on.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Motivation to solve customer problems first and build products customers love.
  • Experience across a wide variety of Linux distributions and kernel versions (preferred by the role context).
  • Deep kernel expertise or interest in developing kernel-level expertise (preferred by the role context).
  • Passion for technology and willingness to grow skills if not meeting all qualifications on day one.
