Description

  • Design and develop high-quality backend applications and low-latency API services.
  • Build scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations with external services.
  • Develop secure multi-tenant environments using PostgreSQL or AuroraDB.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schema migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and pipelines.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including integration, database, failure-mode, and fault-injection tests.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver commitments and solve complex technical problems.
  • Apply software development best practices and take ownership of deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS API services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security.
  • Experience building secure multi-tenant environments and managing schema migrations with tools such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD applications.
  • Experience working with large, complex systems and strong testing practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; ability to overlap US business hours.
  • Preferred: experience with event-sourced or bitemporal data models, Fastify, Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and client-focused collaboration.
