Description

  • Own agent retrieval accuracy and relevance by architecting knowledge systems that surface the right answer on the first try.
  • Drive automated resolution rates by building decision frameworks that determine when agents can take actions and modify accounts.
  • Establish AI safety and trust guardrails to prevent prompt injection, unintended behaviors, and other failure cases.
  • Monitor observability signals and use feedback loops to improve retrieval accuracy, action success rates, and failure patterns.
  • Develop and maintain prompt architecture, including versioning, A/B testing, and performance evaluation.
  • Architect integrations between agents and external systems such as billing platforms, CRMs, internal tools, and Airtable APIs.
  • Define authentication patterns, error handling, and data transformation for agent integrations.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering on production systems and technical implementation.
  • Instrument systems, analyze logs, and build dashboards to tie technical changes to customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of how large language models work, including where they fail and why.
  • Familiarity with RAG architectures, prompt engineering patterns, chain-of-thought reasoning, and agent frameworks.
  • Experience building or significantly contributing to AI-powered systems in production.
  • Strong systems thinking around data flows, state management, error handling, and edge cases.
  • Background in solutions architecture, platform engineering, technical program management, or a similar role.
  • Ability to write scripts, work with APIs, query databases, and prototype solutions independently.
  • Experience instrumenting systems, analyzing logs, and defining metrics and dashboards.
  • Ability to connect technical changes to business outcomes such as resolution rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to explain complex AI system behavior to non-technical stakeholders and write clear technical documentation.
  • Experience partnering across engineering, product, and operations teams.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $196,000-$278,100 USD for San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York City, and Los Angeles roles.
  • Base salary range of $177,000-$250,300 USD for all other work locations, including remote.
  • Total compensation package includes benefits.
  • Total compensation package includes restricted stock units.
  • Total compensation package may include incentive compensation.
  • Remote work is included among eligible work locations.
  • Airtable offers comprehensive benefit offerings.
