Description

  • Develop a portfolio view of Community Support Engineering programs, including scope, objectives, execution status, issues, and decisions.
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large cross-functional initiatives that improve technical team productivity.
  • Identify technical dependencies and align stakeholders on dependency management for roadmap delivery and release planning.
  • Manage communications to leadership and across teams on key decisions, status, risks, and timeline accountability.
  • Define success criteria with stakeholders and regularly assess program risks and mitigation options.
  • Partner with developer teams to create and enforce high-quality internal documentation.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement best practices and align priorities across Community Support Engineering.
  • Provide visibility into key performance indicators, risks, and opportunities for leaders.
  • Work independently with stakeholders and cross-functional leadership to keep projects on track and remove blockers.
  • Drive process improvements and simplify ways of working to increase productivity and repeatability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the software development industry, including at least 7 years as a technical program manager.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, decompose vague problems, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to adapt to teams with different operating cadences.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to influence others while incorporating feedback.
  • Experience developing processes where little exists and demonstrating flexibility to get things done.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage blocking issues using technical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a highly cross-functional environment with frequent communication across multiple groups.
  • Excellent written and oral business communication and people skills.
  • Experience with Asana, Jira, or equivalent task management tools.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing or working directly on large-scale ML/AI platforms preferred.
  • Experience with feature development of AI-powered product experiences preferred.
  • Experience building and maintaining products leveraging AI models preferred.

Benefits

  • US-remote eligible role, with occasional work at an Airbnb office or offsite.
  • Base salary range of $194,000 to $242,000 USD.
  • Potential eligibility for bonus.
