Description

  • Serve as the primary hands-on administrator and subject matter expert for Jira Cloud Software, Jira Service Management, and related Atlassian tools.
  • Own configuration standards, governance, and technical debt reduction across the Atlassian environment.
  • Architect and implement scalable Jira configurations, including workflows, issue hierarchies, permissions, notifications, screens, and field setups.
  • Lead Jira migrations, including Data Center to Cloud transitions, and coordinate cross-functional cutovers.
  • Design and configure Jira Service Management projects, including SLAs, queues, forms, approval workflows, and security schemes.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, analytics, and reporting using Jira Cloud native tooling and custom Forge applications.
  • Administer Atlassian access management, user lifecycle management, license optimization, and security improvements.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into technical designs, and identify automation opportunities.
  • Configure and expand Atlassian Rovo AI agents and automation rules, and evaluate emerging AI/ML capabilities within the ecosystem.
  • Write and maintain automation rules and custom integrations using Jira automation, JavaScript, and the Jira REST API.
  • Lead UAT for platform changes and migrations, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Document configurations, runbooks, and knowledge base articles to support operational continuity and self-service.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on Atlassian administration experience in enterprise environments with large user populations.
  • Experience with Jira Software and Jira Service Management across both Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center.
  • Deep expertise in Jira workflow design, including post functions, validators, conditions, and custom properties.
  • Strong command of JQL for filters, subscriptions, dashboards, and board configuration.
  • Proven experience leading Jira Data Center to Cloud migrations, including configuration migration, macro compatibility, and data integrity validation.
  • Experience configuring Jira Cloud native tooling for capacity planning and portfolio reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira REST API and tools like Postman for GET, PUT, and POST workflows.
  • Experience integrating Atlassian tools with identity providers such as LDAP and Okta.
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian Rovo and AI/ML capabilities within the Atlassian ecosystem.
  • Experience configuring Jira Automation rules using native and scripting-based approaches, with working knowledge of JavaScript and JSON.
  • Strong background in Jira Service Management, including SLAs, JSM Forms, custom queues, and approval workflows.
  • Experience leading UAT for complex migrations and platform changes, including test plans, test scripts, and defect documentation.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile; SAFe Agilist and/or SAFe Scrum Master certification is a plus.
  • Experience serving as Scrum Master or Product Owner for technical workstreams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a remote-first, high-growth environment and managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Familiarity with complementary enterprise tools such as Slack, Asana, Figma, Airtable, and Miro is an advantage.
  • US remote eligibility requires living in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity, with occasional office or offsite attendance as needed.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $164,000 to $193,000 USD.
  • Potential eligibility for bonus compensation.
