Description

  • Build a comprehensive fundraising program to grow Airbnb.org’s $10K+ donor community.
  • Develop, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major donors to secure six- and seven-figure gifts.
  • Revitalize and expand an existing donor portfolio using a moves management process and new prospect identification.
  • Develop and execute tailored prospect strategies to advance donor engagement and solicitation.
  • Lead fundraising campaign planning and execution in collaboration with marketing and design teams, including donor reporting.
  • Organize and manage fundraising and friendraising events with effective follow-up strategies.
  • Drive institutional and foundation fundraising through grant research, proposal writing, and reporting.
  • Create donor engagement experiences that educate and inspire major gift prospects through storytelling and multi-channel communications.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director on fundraising budgets and internal/external reporting.
  • Maintain accurate donor data and fundraising records in Salesforce.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in development and major gifts fundraising.
  • Proven track record of cultivating and closing six- and seven-figure gifts.
  • Experience leading frontline fundraising efforts and supervising fundraising teams.
  • Ability to scale teams and systems for strong performance.
  • Strong long-term strategic thinking and execution in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence business leaders.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Proficiency in research, analysis, and database navigation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the philanthropic landscape, prospect research methodology, and trends in philanthropy.

Benefits

  • US - Remote eligible, with occasional work at an Airbnb office or offsites.
  • Base salary range of $204,000 to $255,000 USD.
  • Potential eligibility for bonus.
  • Potential eligibility for equity.
