Description

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and operations partners to deliver personalized and fair support experiences.
  • Partner with the tech lead on high-impact AI and data science projects for Community Support.
  • Automate and improve the LLM evaluation process with efficient, high-quality methods.
  • Curate and scale synthetic datasets across Community Support domains for LLM training and evaluation.
  • Build LLM and ML models to understand customer issues, identify failure modes, and surface improvement opportunities.
  • Develop personalization models that deliver differentiated experiences and business impact.
  • Identify high-impact business opportunities through data exploration and model prototyping.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to generate insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Build and deploy production LLM/ML models that support data-driven product launches.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to leaders and stakeholders to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience, such as data scientist, ML scientist, tech lead, or junior faculty experience.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.
  • State-of-the-art knowledge of AI/ML models.
  • Strong fluency in Python, R, and SQL.
  • Experience with observational causal inference is a plus.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex findings into compelling narratives that drive impact.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Product-oriented mindset with the ability to design solutions that consider user experience.
  • Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity for this US-remote-eligible role.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $151,000 to $175,000 USD.
  • May be eligible for bonus.
  • May be eligible for equity.
  • May be eligible for benefits.
  • May be eligible for Employee Travel Credits.
  • US-remote-eligible work arrangement.
  • Occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as needed.
