Description

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure completeness of general ledger transactions.
  • Process and reconcile bank accounts, payment processors, and corporate card accounts.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, management accounts, and reporting packs.
  • Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, cash flow forecasting, and working capital management.
  • Analyse revenue trends, margins, refund rates, operating expenses, and profitability by product, service line, and customer segment.
  • Reconcile revenue across payment processors and other payment platforms, and support deferred revenue and revenue recognition schedules.
  • Support external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and compliance activities including UAE corporate tax, KYC, and AML requests.
  • Work within cloud accounting and reporting systems and assist with finance process automation and systems integration initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting, management accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
  • Advanced Xero and Google Sheets skills.
  • Experience working remotely for international businesses.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and automation platforms.
  • Experience working remotely within SaaS, AI businesses, digital agencies, subscription businesses, technology companies, or other high-growth online businesses.
  • SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA, SAICA trainee experience, or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with Xero, Wise, Stripe, and Google Workspace preferred.
  • Exposure to UAE, UK, or US business operations preferred.
  • Understanding of revenue recognition principles, with IFRS 15 preferred.
  • Must have a dedicated home office, reliable high-speed internet, and availability to overlap with UAE and UK business hours.
  • Independent contractor setup only; candidate is responsible for their own taxes, statutory obligations, equipment, and insurance.
