Description

  • Own full P&L across business units, set targets, and drive financial outcomes.
  • Build the accountability infrastructure from scratch, including KPIs, scorecards, operating cadence, incentive structures, and process automations.
  • Directly manage department heads and senior operators, including setting expectations, enforcing accountability, and making hard personnel decisions.
  • Partner with marketing and sales leadership to improve pipeline, conversion, and revenue operations.
  • Work with People & Talent to build management depth by defining leadership profiles and holding hiring standards.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between the founders and the operating organization so leadership can focus on growth and external relationships.
  • Implement and maintain operating cadence and systems that outlast day-to-day intervention.
  • Drive profitability and operational performance across a fast-moving, founder-led environment.

Requirements

  • Verifiable P&L ownership with revenue growth or margin improvement during your tenure, confirmable by a named third-party source.
  • Experience operating across at least two domain families: GTM, Ops/Finance, and People.
  • Proven ability to build operating infrastructure from scratch with real systems and named outputs.
  • Experience making hard people decisions, including exits, restructures, and performance management with consequences.
  • In-house operating experience in an actual operating company, not exclusively consulting, advisory, or fractional work.
  • High Dominance and Conscientiousness DISC temperament, with the ability to push back and drive accountability.
  • Experience managing teams of 30+ with direct reports at VP or Director level.
  • High agency, high urgency, and the ability to move quickly without needing consensus.
  • COO, President, GM, MD, VP Operations, or Head of Operations experience in a founder-led company of 50–500 employees is a strong signal.
  • Background in coaching, SaaS, agency, info products, performance marketing, or high-velocity services is a strong signal.
  • Demonstrated results such as doubling revenue or improving EBITDA margin by 5%+ during a tenure window is a strong signal.
  • Experience managing distributed or remote teams across multiple geographies is a strong signal.
  • Publicly articulated operating philosophy through podcasts, conference Q&A, or written content is a strong signal.
