Description

  • Lead resolution of Tier-3 support cases for Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama, GlobalProtect, Prisma SD-WAN, Prisma Access, Strata, SASE cloud firewall products, and Cortex within TAC workflows.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics, packet captures, log analysis, root-cause analysis, and lab reproductions to resolve complex incidents.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for P1/P2 incidents and communicate directly with enterprise customers.
  • Mentor L1/L2 TAC engineers and help shape troubleshooting approaches and case handling practices.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles, internal guides, and training materials for TAC teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Product Management to escalate bugs and influence product improvements.
  • Bridge TAC and Engineering by replicating issues, providing early feedback on new products, and contributing to feature supportability.
  • Develop troubleshooting scripts and tools using Python, REST, and CI/CD to improve resolution speed and efficiency.
  • Support release validation workflows and provide product release supportability input.
  • Monitor case metrics, identify trends and efficiency gaps, and own the incident lifecycle including escalation, executive communication, and post-mortem reporting.

Requirements

  • 9–12 years of experience in enterprise-level TAC/support or network/security engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in L3 escalation roles.
  • Expert knowledge of PAN-OS, firewalls, Panorama, Prisma SD-WAN, Prisma Access, Strata, SASE, VPN, BGP, OSPF, Wireshark, and Linux shells.
  • PCNSE certification required; PCNSA and PCCSE are preferred.
  • Experience scripting with Python, REST API, or equivalent automation tools.
  • Strong communication skills with customer-facing and cross-team leadership experience.
  • Ability to work rotational shifts and provide incident-based after-hours support.
  • Experience with enterprise security/network troubleshooting and advanced packet and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with supportability, release validation, or product feedback processes is preferred.
