Description

  • Take ownership of complex customer Hadoop environments and mentor junior team members.
  • Provide tier-2/3 support for data and performance issues across Hadoop clusters and the full technical stack.
  • Perform deep-dive debugging and optimization of Hadoop clusters, including NiFi, Impala, and Spark jobs.
  • Lead product support for ODP Hadoop migrations and upgrades and ensure post-migration stability.
  • Collaborate closely with customer engineering teams to deliver high-throughput Hadoop and Spark applications.
  • Solve complex data challenges during migration, upgrades, and evolving technical issues.
  • Design and optimize distributed Hadoop-based applications for low-latency, high-throughput performance.
  • Support operations in a 24/7 environment and adjust working hours as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working in Hadoop environments.
  • Strong technical proficiency in HDFS, YARN, and Hive/Impala.
  • Working knowledge of Kafka, NiFi, Ambari, and Cloudera Manager internals.
  • Extensive experience troubleshooting and debugging Hadoop components.
  • Advanced Linux skills, including configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting Red Hat and Debian-based distributions.
  • Good to have proficiency in Python, Bash, or Scala for automation and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct daily supervision.
  • Comfortable supporting operations in a 24/7 environment and adjusting working hours accordingly.
