Description

  • Lead the design and development of core platform features using Python and an API-first approach.
  • Build scalable, reliable backend services that integrate with a modern cloud-based architecture.
  • Implement frontend features and help manage a growing React application in TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure.
  • Contribute to infrastructure and deployment workflows in an AWS serverless environment.
  • Independently lead proof-of-concept projects and solve complex architectural and engineering challenges.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
  • Drive architectural decisions that improve integrations, data flow, and platform extensibility.
  • Assess and adopt new technologies and frameworks when they provide clear value.
  • Define and maintain engineering standards and best practices across backend, frontend, and cloud systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
  • Strong experience building backend services and APIs using Python in a product-focused environment.
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud services, particularly in a serverless architecture.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, observability tools, and cloud-native best practices.
  • Extensive experience developing frontend applications, backend interfaces, and SaaS integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence technical decisions across teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with AI tools in the software development lifecycle, such as GitHub Copilot or JetBrains AI Assistant, and/or API integrations.
