Description

  • Design and implement advanced CI/CD pipelines for complex applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, and customer support on cross-functional projects.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code on AWS to support scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, database, and application issues.
  • Support day-to-day operations including user management, system monitoring, and troubleshooting to meet SLA targets.
  • Implement security measures and compliance controls such as ISO27001, SOC2, and Cyber Essentials.
  • Build automation with staff-level engineers to reduce manual toil and improve workflows.
  • Mentor junior team members and collaborate with more senior engineers.
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency.
  • Lead or participate in incident response and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Create runbooks and maintain system documentation for faster troubleshooting.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or a related infrastructure role.
  • In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and technologies, including AWS and Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools.
  • Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems and troubleshooting OS issues.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Nagios, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or similar.
  • Advanced scripting and automation experience using Python.
  • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.
  • Deep understanding of networking concepts, CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Argo, and containerization/orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of security best practices including IAM, encryption, least privilege, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external teams to deliver DevOps initiatives on time.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Copilot.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • AWS certifications are preferred.
  • Knowledge of AWS security architecture is preferred.
