Description

  • Set technical strategy for the team over a year-long time horizon and align it to business-impacting initiatives.
  • Lead architecture decisions and rollout tradeoffs for self-service account management and agentic account update workflows.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, analytics, operations, and partner engineering to manage risks and technical sustainability.
  • Own operational readiness, including monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, and alerting for on-call support.
  • Reduce coupling across event-driven integrations and help codify patterns and guardrails for safe, auditable, scalable systems.
  • Set and advocate for code review and design standards to raise engineering quality across the team and beyond it.
  • Unblock senior engineers by defining technical solutions and operational processes that improve team leverage.
  • Provide feedback, guidance, and leadership to help develop talent on the team.
  • Coordinate structured post-launch validation and measurable launches that minimize reliability and compliance exposure.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience developing web applications using declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
  • Experience delivering major features, system components, or deprecating existing functionality through a defined technical and execution plan.
  • Ability to write high-quality code that is easily understood and used by others.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and reasoning from low-level language details to the architecture of large systems.
  • Demonstrated growth and impact trajectory showing ability to gather and iterate on feedback from engineering and cross-functional peers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team.
