Description

  • Build backend services and pipelines that orchestrate bankruptcy workflows and hardship support.
  • Work on distributed systems, event-driven pipelines, and high-availability services.
  • Collaborate closely with product, compliance, and platform teams on foundational systems.
  • Contribute to greenfield platform development with a focus on correctness, auditability, and operational excellence.
  • Balance speed and quality to deliver business goals while preventing system downtime.
  • Communicate risks, trade-offs, and progress clearly to teammates and stakeholders.
  • Participate in growth and development activities that strengthen team culture.
  • Review code, debug existing systems, and help improve the quality of engineering output.

Requirements

  • Previous work or internship experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
  • Experience with one of Python, Kotlin, or Java.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to turn simple business problems into solutions involving multiple software components.
  • Ability to write clear, well-tested, and extensible code.
  • Comfort navigating a large codebase, debugging others' code, and giving code review feedback.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ownership of personal growth and a habit of proactively seeking feedback.
