Description

  • Lead technical relationships for a named set of merchants within a vertical or category.
  • Build trust with merchant technical counterparts and foster long-term partner relationships.
  • Manage and provide technical guidance for new merchant integrations.
  • Identify problematic technical approaches and reduce merchant risk during implementation.
  • Drive adoption of new features, products, betas, and pilots with retail partners.
  • Support clients throughout their time as Affirm partners and resolve critical technical issues quickly.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide early feedback to engineering and product teams during product iteration.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and speed up merchant onboarding.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a TAM, Solutions Engineer, or other customer-facing technical role with ownership of key developer relationships.
  • Comfortable reading code in at least two programming languages.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including a strong command of the written word.
  • Confidence and fluency when discussing technical concepts with developers.
  • Validated ability to lead important client relationships.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to influence internal and external partners to stay on schedule.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a record of strong academic performance or equivalent practical experience.
  • Degree in a technical major such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering, or completion of a bootcamp (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the payments ecosystem (preferred).
  • Familiarity with web/mobile application architecture (preferred).
  • Comfortable writing code in at least one language (preferred).
