Description

  • Own the full machine learning lifecycle from ideation to production, including feature engineering, model selection, deployment, and observability.
  • Translate product and business requirements into robust machine learning system designs.
  • Design and build ranking and recommendation infrastructure, starting with off-the-shelf models and evolving toward customized solutions.
  • Work on information extraction, storage, and retrieval problems across structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with product, infrastructure, data engineering, and software engineering teams to deliver high-scale ML systems.
  • Advance the team’s machine learning engineering capabilities, especially in information retrieval and recommendation systems.
  • Develop and operate production ML services that support AI features such as OCR, embeddings, and recommendations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and/or machine learning, with production ML experience.
  • Hands-on experience building ranking or recommendation systems from scratch and deploying them at scale.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, including clustering and decision trees.
  • Experience serving ML models for streaming and batch inference at scale.
  • Experience with vector or graph databases.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or Scikit-learn.
  • Track record of building maintainable, testable, production-grade codebases.
  • Experience with observability tools for online and offline model evaluation, A/B testing, and tracing for AI applications.
  • Experience with dataset engineering, including data curation, augmentation, and synthesis, is preferred.
  • Experience with graph-based recommendation systems such as graph neural networks is preferred.
  • Experience with packaging, CI/CD, and pipeline automation is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $160,000 to $235,000 USD.
