Description

  • Architect, prototype, and deploy RAG pipelines using vector search, hybrid retrieval, reranking, and contextual compression techniques.
  • Design and orchestrate multi-agent LLM systems using community frameworks and custom orchestration layers.
  • Work on information extraction, information storage, and information retrieval problems across structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with product, infrastructure, data engineering, machine learning, and software engineering partners to build robust, high-scale systems.
  • Develop AI systems that uncover actionable insights from business interaction data.
  • Support the data processing and ML operations systems that power Affinity’s AI features.
  • Work within a fast-moving environment to cut through ambiguity and deliver customer value.
  • Contribute to LLM search capabilities such as query understanding, augmentation, text-to-SQL, and entity extraction.
  • Participate in evaluation and improvement of AI systems using offline and online assessment approaches.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and/or machine learning, including applying machine learning in production.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM applications in production, including prompt engineering and online/offline evaluation frameworks.
  • Experience with LLM-assisted search, such as query understanding and augmentation, text-to-SQL, and entity extraction.
  • Experience with vector databases or graph databases.
  • Experience with document chunking, embedding models, and context window optimization.
  • Familiarity with metadata-based retrieval and re-ranking strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with model evaluation metrics such as perplexity, hallucination rate, and factual consistency.
  • Familiarity with data security, versioning, and MLOps principles.
  • Experience with enterprise AI applications that have strict compliance, audit, or legal requirements, preferred.
  • Experience with dataset engineering, including data curation, augmentation, and synthesis, preferred.
  • Experience with multi-modal search, preferred.
  • Experience with graph-based recommendation systems such as graph neural networks, preferred.
  • Experience building AI applications powered by agent-based systems, preferred.
  • Experience with packaging, CI/CD, and pipeline automation, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Python-based ML pipelines, OCR, and embedding model serving.

  • Base salary range of $160,000 to $235,000 USD.
