Description

  • Partner with the CEO, leadership team, and product team to shape product and company vision and strategy.
  • Create and execute Aerostrat’s engineering strategy.
  • Communicate engineering vision and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Set engineering goals aligned with organizational priorities and team strengths.
  • Lead the full development lifecycle from requirements analysis through architecture, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ensure applications and services are scalable, secure, efficient, and stable.
  • Build out the tech stack and maintain engineering hiring and staffing plans.
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, upskill, mentor, and retain engineering talent.
  • Coordinate the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and support its implementation and audits.
  • Oversee implementation of information security controls for production infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience in B2B SaaS.
  • 5+ years of software engineering leadership experience.
  • 5+ years working on Azure or AWS cloud projects, including managing total cost of ownership and/or development.
  • 5+ years of system design experience.
  • 5+ years of direct customer-facing experience.
  • Expert experience in software engineering design, development, and testing.
  • Expert understanding of software security, performance, globalization, and scale.
  • Significant experience with C#/.NET, SQL Server/Azure SQL, HTML/CSS/JS, AngularJS or similar frameworks, REST APIs, microservices, Webpack, and WebGL/Canvas.
  • Experience building, deploying, and supporting B2B cloud solutions on Azure or AWS.
  • Experience growing, upskilling, mentoring, and retaining a high-performing engineering team.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
  • Preferred background in aerospace or maintenance of durable assets.
  • Preferred experience building teams and launching new products.
  • Preferred familiarity with GDPR, Python, ASP.NET, DBA work, and identity platforms such as Entra ID, SAML 2.0, or OIDC.
