Description

  • Build and maintain backend services for AI Platform products with an emphasis on reliability and maintainability.
  • Design and evolve REST APIs, including request validation, error handling, and clear frontend-backend contracts.
  • Work with relational and NoSQL data stores such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.
  • Build and maintain asynchronous processing flows using queues and worker-based systems.
  • Develop real-time conversational UI features, including chat streaming, incremental rendering, and dynamic layouts.
  • Implement and maintain WebSocket pipelines for streamed data, retries, and reconnection handling.
  • Own features end to end across backend logic and the frontend that consumes it.
  • Write automated tests across backend and frontend and contribute to CI-based quality gates.
  • Debug production issues across service and UI boundaries using logs, metrics, browser DevTools, and system reasoning.
  • Participate in code reviews and help uphold engineering standards and system quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional fullstack development experience in a production environment.
  • Strong production-level depth in either backend or frontend, with demonstrable experience in the complementary area.
  • Proficiency in at least one production backend language such as Python, Go, Java, or C++, and comfort working in a polyglot environment.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern UI framework; Svelte is preferred, but React, Angular, or Vue are acceptable.
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals, including debugging, code quality, testing, and operational awareness.
  • Experience building and maintaining REST APIs in production.
  • Experience with relational databases and/or NoSQL data stores in production systems.
  • Understanding of asynchronous processing patterns such as queues, workers, and retry/failure handling.
  • Proficiency with Docker and familiarity with modern development workflows.
  • Strong testing discipline across unit tests, integration tests, and CI pipelines.
  • Experience building or operating services on cloud infrastructure in a production context.
  • Comfort using browser DevTools to debug UI issues and understand async behavior and performance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.
  • Legal authorization to work in the role’s country on the first day of employment; visa sponsorship is not available.
