Description

  • Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for middle school students.
  • Deliver live virtual lessons through web conferencing based on student needs.
  • Set up courses in the Learning Management System.
  • Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading.
  • Maintain regular contact with each student.
  • Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
  • Review student data frequently and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Use research-based practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
  • Communicate with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Implement school culture expectations and culturally responsive teaching practices.
  • Plan and participate in non-instructional activities, including in-person events and state testing.
  • Collaborate respectfully and effectively with colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current Idaho teaching license in the appropriate content area.
  • Idaho residence preferred.
  • Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
  • Preferred two years of teaching experience.
  • Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to properly manage confidential information.
  • Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.
