Description

Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for middle school students.
Deliver live virtual lessons through web conferencing based on student needs.
Set up courses in the Learning Management System.
Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading.
Maintain regular contact with each student.
Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
Review student data frequently and adjust instruction accordingly.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Use research-based practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
Communicate with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
Implement school culture expectations and culturally responsive teaching practices.
Plan and participate in non-instructional activities, including in-person events and state testing.
Collaborate respectfully and effectively with colleagues.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Current Idaho teaching license in the appropriate content area.
Idaho residence preferred.
Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Preferred two years of teaching experience.
Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
Ability to properly manage confidential information.
Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.
