Description

  • Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas and grade levels.
  • Deliver live lessons via web conference using research-based instructional practices.
  • Set up courses in the Learning Management System.
  • Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading.
  • Maintain regular contact with each student and communicate progress to the principal.
  • Review student data frequently and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Create a positive classroom environment and implement school-wide culture expectations.
  • Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Plan and support non-instructional activities, including social events and field trips, and attend required in-person events.
  • Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Colorado or North Carolina teaching certification.
  • Open to residents of Colorado or North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
  • Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to properly manage confidential information.
  • Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.
