Description

  • Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for assigned students.
  • Deliver live web-based lessons and use research-based instructional practices.
  • Set up courses in the learning management system.
  • Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and grade assignments daily.
  • Maintain regular contact with each student and communicate with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Review student data frequently and adjust instruction based on results.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
  • Implement school-wide culture expectations and culturally responsive practices.
  • Plan and participate in non-instructional activities, including social events, field trips, and annual state testing.
  • Collaborate professionally with colleagues and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Current state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
  • Knowledge of state standards and Common Core Standards.
  • Preferred: 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to properly manage confidential information.
  • Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting is preferred.
  • Open to residents of Wyoming and Arizona.
  • Ability to travel and attend in-person state testing and student events several times per year.
